Terms of Service

1. The Service

AbleSH is a local, on-device SSH and SFTP client. It lets you store your own server connection details, SSH keys, and command snippets on your device, and use them to connect directly to servers you control or are otherwise authorized to access. AbleSH has no user account system, and all data you enter is stored only on your own device - the one narrow exception (an anonymous, one-way device check used to prevent free-trial abuse on Android) is described in our Privacy Policy.

2. Eligibility

You must be able to form a legally binding contract to use AbleSH. If you are under the age of majority in your jurisdiction, you may only use AbleSH with the involvement and consent of a parent or legal guardian.

3. License Grant

Subject to your compliance with these Terms and the terms of the app store (Apple App Store or Google Play) through which you downloaded AbleSH, Veltrix Solutions grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to install and use the App for its intended purpose on devices you own or control.

4. Your Responsibilities

You are solely responsible for:

• Authorization. Ensuring you have the legal right and authorization to connect to, access, and run commands on any server or system you use AbleSH to reach. You agree not to use AbleSH to access any computer, network, or system without authorization, and to comply with all applicable laws (including computer-access and export/import laws) when doing so.
• Your credentials and data. Safeguarding your SSH keys, passwords, app PIN, and any backup password you set. Because AbleSH stores everything locally and has no account-recovery system, Veltrix Solutions cannot recover a forgotten PIN, a forgotten backup password, or data lost if your device is lost, damaged, reset, or has the App uninstalled. Please keep your own backups and passwords somewhere safe.
• Your own servers. The configuration, security, and availability of any server or system you connect to. Veltrix Solutions has no relationship with, control over, or responsibility for third-party servers or services you choose to connect to using AbleSH.
• Your device. Keeping your device itself secure (e.g., its own screen lock), since anyone with unlocked access to your device and AbleSH's PIN/biometric could access data stored in the App.

5. Purchases

AbleSH may offer a monthly or yearly auto-renewing subscription to unlock additional features - your choice, each with a 14-day free trial. All purchases are processed by, and subject to the terms and refund policies of, the Apple App Store or Google Play, as applicable - see our Refund Policy for details.

A monthly or yearly subscription auto-renews at the then-current price at the end of each billing period until you cancel it through your app-store account settings (Apple ID or Google Play), and access to the unlocked features continues only while the subscription remains active. If a free trial is offered, it converts automatically into a paid subscription at the end of the trial unless you cancel before then.

6. Intellectual Property

AbleSH, including its software, design, user interface, and branding, is owned by Veltrix Solutions and is protected by applicable intellectual property laws. These Terms do not grant you any right to use Veltrix Solutions' trademarks, logos, or branding except as necessary to use the App as intended. You retain all rights to the data you enter into the App (such as server nicknames, snippets, or notes); since that data is never transmitted to us, we make no claim to it whatsoever.

7. Third-Party Servers and Services

AbleSH is a tool for connecting to servers and services you choose. We do not operate, endorse, or take responsibility for any server, service, or content you access through the App. Your use of any third-party server is governed by whatever terms apply to that server, independent of these Terms.

8. Disclaimer of Warranties

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, ABLESH IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE," WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS, IMPLIED, OR STATUTORY, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE APP WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR SECURE, OR THAT IT WILL SUCCESSFULLY CONNECT TO ANY GIVEN SERVER AT ANY GIVEN TIME.

9. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW: (A) VELTRIX SOLUTIONS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING LOSS OF DATA, LOSS OF ACCESS TO YOUR OWN SERVERS, OR BUSINESS INTERRUPTION, ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF THE APP; AND (B) VELTRIX SOLUTIONS' TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO THESE TERMS OR THE APP SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU ACTUALLY PAID VELTRIX SOLUTIONS FOR THE APP IN THE TWELVE (12) MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM AROSE (OR ZERO, IF YOU HAVE NOT MADE ANY PAYMENT).

Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion or limitation of certain damages, so some of the above limitations may not apply to you.

10. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Veltrix Solutions from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of your misuse of the App, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any law or the rights of a third party.

11. Changes to the App and These Terms

We may update, modify, or discontinue features of AbleSH, or these Terms, at any time. Where practical, we will provide notice of material changes within the App or by updating the "Last updated" date above. Your continued use of AbleSH after a change to these Terms constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

12. Termination

You may stop using AbleSH and uninstall it at any time. We may suspend or discontinue the App, in whole or in part, at our discretion, though we will make reasonable efforts to give notice of anything that would materially affect your use of already-purchased features.

13. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of India, without regard to its conflict-of-law provisions. Any dispute arising from or relating to these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in Karkala, Udupi District, Karnataka, India.

14. General

If any provision of these Terms is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in full effect. These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy and Refund Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and Veltrix Solutions regarding AbleSH. Our failure to enforce any right or provision of these Terms is not a waiver of that right or provision.
